Bushcraft in Scotland - April

Could anyone suggest somewhere to go in Scotland around April? I'm hoping to spend a few days in the wilderness with OH and the dog for some fun.

I don't want to go too far up north. We're just looking for somewhere nice and secluded, preferably with some water close by.

Anyone know a secret, quiet place where we won't be disturbed for days at a time?

Theres plenty nice bits in Glen Etive, GlenTrool, Loch Doon ,

Another vote for GlenTrool, wild camped in that area a few times and will be going up that way again next month
