It is about time I introduced myself. Tracking is what floats my boat. I am obsessed with tracking. bushcraft is there for me to supplement my tracking, rather than the other way round. I live in Dunoon in Argyll, the gate way by ferry to the west highlands of Scotland. Married with three dogs, two collie crosses and a 8 stone 16 month old Russian Black Terrier with a front paw track of over 10 cm. Big Lenny the dog is well known in Shadowhawk . Other things that float my boat are open canoeing and finally as i have a class about to enter the room. I have two dreams i would love to fulfill, 1 to live in a tipii for a full year and 2 to do at least a month long camel treck.

Welcome to BCUK HTN.

Big dog is Lenny, are you sure that someone hasn't sold you a wolf by mistake:D (tracks about the right size).

How's it going Hawkeye :) ,

You may not get much local reponse today as nigh on everyone's packed up and on their way up to the trossachs. I must be the last chump left in the office and it's been a looong morning.

Tracking is something I've only recently starting learning. A friend has a fair grasp of it and points things out as we're roving. It's fascinating stuff.

Welcome La Longue Carabine. Enjoy the site.

Like Groovski I am stuck at work prior to shooting off to the Scottish meet.

Maybe you could come to the next one? Lots of folk want to learn tracking.

Welcome and pull up a log,

I'm one of the unlucky sods who has had to pull out of this weekends meetup.

This is a great forum full of friendly and knowledgable members and there's always room for more, looking forward to any input on your tracking skills.

Cheers

Hello,
Welcome to the virtual campfire. :) The natives are good company I've found.
Hope you can make the next meet up; my tracking skills are pretty pathetic and I'd really appreciate being taught to actually be aware of what I'm looking at.
Sort of, " looking with my eyes open "

Cheers,
Toddy
