Spring Bank Holiday

Hi,

I was just looking at the up and coming events at the bottom of the home page. Now I know things are getting warmer, but Spring Bank Holiday – 01.01.06.

Does that mean winter is cancelled, we skip Easter,go straight back to summer? ;)

Me too. Winter is a fantastic time of year. Not much foraging but lots of time to sit in front of a fire and make stuff.

Walking in a wood with all the leaves on the ground is also wonderful. You get to see and apprieciate the form of the trees, use the litter to build shelters.

An if you lucky enough that it snows a decent amount (never does these days where I live) or cold enough for a decent frost then with either a sunny day or moonlit night, the stuff just sparkles.

Ummm Crisp cold days, snow on the ground crunchy under foot, sun warm on your face and not a cloud in the powder blue sky my favourite:D
