Other plantains

I've been collecting & using the seeds from Greater Plantain(Plantago major) for some time but wondered whether any of the others were worthy candidates.I've noticed that while you dont get so many seeds on Ribwort plantain(P.lanceolata) the seeds are larger.They ,too,tend to grow in large numbers where they are found so collecting a decent amount would not be a problem. This is also the case with Sea plantain(P.maritima).Is this a food resource that I am, at the moment, ignoring?

As far as I know, all the plantago family can be used in the same way - both leaves and seeds, for edible purposes. Plants for a Future (http://www.pfaf.org) lists about 12 varieties of Plantago, and mentions the use of seeds as a food in all of them.

Cheers for the link Match.I thought this would be the case-funny how many books out there only list Greater plantain.Off to my long grass with collection bag now!
