Hello all,

Firstly, this is probably as far off topic as we're ever likely to get! Though I do need your help.

I've looked at all the webdesign resources I can possibly think of and I'm yet to find a tutorial that'll show me how to add a field on a web page that when submitted will automatically update the web page itself.

Take a look at this page on my current site http://www.boxsta.co.uk/boxsta/links.htm I want to recreate the same thing but I want to write it myself and not have some external site host it for me.

Any ideas/tips/pointers greatly appreciated. Again I realise this is wayyyyyyyyyy off topic but I am yet to post to BCUK and not get a satidfactory answer. So let'd get your thinking caps on guys.

Thanking you all in advance.

Marc

I'm not too sure if this (http://www.phpexamples.net/content/view/18/27/) will be of any use to you, but it might be worth taking a look at. It's a tutorial for creating a PHP script which will allow people to upload images to a server to be displayed on a website. If you're familiar with PHP perhaps you can alter the code to suit your needs? Hope someone can come up with a better suggestion for you! :)

PHP is the way to go, dynamic and very easy to customise with experience.

My site (http://www.thinksurvival.com) runs off free software called "Mambo" but I have modified and customised it completly to my taste and site theme. The forum is also greatly modified with external applications.

With practice PHP is as easy as HTML but alot more you can do with PHP!

The best way to do it would be with PHP and a MySQL database.

If you have access to PHP and a MySQL database, I'd be happy to knock together a bit of code for you. PM me if you'd like me to.
