I'm new to the site (and bushcraft), so thought I'd say hello!

I shall hopefully be going up to the Scottish event in September, so look forward to meeting all those going!

Huge welcome to you :D It looks like you're all set of the Scottish meet, they're a fantastic bunch up there and you'll learn loads.

I demonstrate (and teach) medieval style archery - teaching with a 34lb ash self longbow, and demonstrate with a 65lb draw longbow.

I'm also in the habit of fletching my own arrows (and demonstrating this to the general public), so I'm hoping that, besides being completely new to bushcraft, that I might be able to at least return some knowledge to others!

Ah, and I'm really looking forward to learn how to make a bow!

Well... since you offered!

What are the basics that I should be bringing with me to a bushcraft weekend?

I shall be with my friend (posts on here as esme), and she will probably have a better idea of things, but it doesn't hurt to ask for ideas!
