Anyone else tried these pegs? I used them the other day for pinning a basha down and I was amazed as to well they could hold a bungee in the ground even though they only have about 3 - 4 inches of ground penetration. They worked well even in damp earth.

They're on my "good kit list" now!

saw them a while ago and looked for a set locally, to no avail.
Did look like they'd do a good job of basha pinning in loose ground.
Cheers for confirming that :)

I know we should probablly just use longer stakes, saplings or something more "natural" though :)

Cheers

You are right, we used some the other day and they are great and I agree with Adi007, it is quite amazing how they bond into nothing. Arktis do some amazing quality kit and I have bought a Arktis 35L Basic Pack rucksack of Woodland Organics, this stuff is pretty elite gear as I believe that it is made for the special forces. I am very pleased with mine and it wasn't that exspensive!
Check out the link below:

Will let you know how I geton with it over the coming months.

Got a set from Soldier of Fortune in Chester a few weeks ago but haven't got round to testing them yet. £6 for 6. Code BIV027 in their catalogue. SOF do mail order via www.sofmilitary.co.uk

They also do the crusader mug at £17 and all sorts of other stuff. The range is much better than the pricing.

Cheers

The Twizelpegs are quite good.

Another product to check would be Wurmi screw-in tent pegs (Wurmi.co.uk).
