thanks for that, the inner steam plate , can it be turned upside down and still fit in the can?
the reason for this is i want to store a gas canister inside which is dimensions 112mm diameter by 140mm high
cheers
J
Nope, the steamer/bowl has a lipped edge that keeps it on the top of the billycan
Hope that helps?

yep that helps, thanks. i can always leave that out, as long as the gas canister fits with the lid on, it sounds good.

Yep - I normally pack the plate separately and put all my dried food in the pot itself. Stops it rattling when I walk too.

OK, I'm sure I'm missing something so don't shout, but I'm after a 14cm Zebra Billy can too. Sould have bought one last year when I had the chance, now they're nowhere to be seen, apparantly. Anyone know where I can get one now?

Bought mine from Jonny Crocket of Survival School here in Devon. Web www.survivalschool.co.uk - search their shop section (lots of other nice things to look at too).
