Hello, and welcome to the forum!
There's a 'Group' for South Oxfordshire which might be of interest to you, maybe you can kick some life into them. :)
Look near the top of almost any BCUK page, you'll see 'Community'. That will lead you to the Groups. I found it quite hard to find at first.
Hi There, I am not far from you if you want to fancy coming over this way i know of some woods to go too.
Cheers

Hi Chris,
Did you have any luck in Swindon? Thinking of doing a little myself and I'm wondering where to start.

Im in Gloucester and always looking to get a sensible group together, I have a 15 year old boy who would also enjoy it hence my caution

Shall we all get together then and organise something local for next weekend?

I am going to struggle for the next few weekends (Kids etc) but it would be good to meet and possibly get something additionally going for middle/end of April.

I can get out on the 8th. Found a nice little place not far from Croft, only issue is its quite close to the M4 but I was there today and its not too bad-noise wise.
As I walked in today I was joined by Deer and Buzzards, got a wicked video of a deer 10m from me. Happy to meet up and plan something.

Hi there,
Very new to both bushcraft and Swindon. I did a few evenings in the New Forest when I lived down in Dorset but haven't done much for over a year. Looking to get out again and pick up some skills & knowledge. Will keep checking these threads but also feel free to send me a PM.
Cheers.

There's a few of us on here local to Gloucester/ Bristol/ Swindon all looking for the same. In general people seem to have a little experience, bought some kit but got no group to be part of

Do any of the Swindon (and indeed any others who fancy) crowd want to try and get out one evening next week for a small introductory meet?? Scotty mentioned a patch of woods near Croft, any other suggestions?

Any idea which day? I should be free most of the week but saying that I'm off to a meet this weekend and SWMBO'd may have something to say If it's more than one night!
If weather's ok I'm up for Saturday.

Don't be a sissy. Bush crafting doesn't stop for rain! ;-)
I'm off to Dartmoor for a meet (rain or shine) but should be up for the following weekend or a midweek one.
next weekend sounds good to me
