Hi,
The Pro boots are Army issue so you should be able to find used ones in surplus stores at a fairly reasonable price, they are not too bad but I have seen new ones for £130 in some stores. Happy hunting,

Pro boots are the old issue cold weather boot, I have just recieved a pair of the new issue cold weather boot that looks just like the current issue assault boot from the outside.
I have had two pairs of pro boots issued to me and the stitching has gone on both boots on the outside edge of the boot where the side bit of the boot that goes from the ankle up to the top of the boot meets the main foot part of the boot, if you get what I mean!! Sorry, I'm not too sure of boot terminology!!
Anyway, for them both to fail in the same place is a bit crap, and I know others who have had similar problems. I also found that my feet got very sweaty in these boots, and therefore got cold.

yep i had a pair of proboots go down, same stitching problem as above, pretty poor boot really and i dont think they even have a vibram sole. better off with a pair of issue assault boots for 25-30 quid and stick some issue goretex booties in em, if you need goretex or spend good money on some alt-berg's, lowa's or meindl that IMO are in a different class.

Im on my second pair and no problems and i wear them every day.
I have had problems with the standard boots ,dodgy sizeing ,poor stitching ,bad wear but i have also had some standartd boots that lasted very well.
I think any MOD item can be a bit hit and miss but my Pro Boots have all been spot on (so far :rolleyes: )

there are a couple of different manufacturers of pro-boots some contracts are better made than others.
