View Full Version : Broken Zippo/ New stove

Recently bought a Zippo lighter (not a cheap copy) filled it and used it a few times and then left it in the draw, I got it out tonight, put some lighter fluid in it and this is the result!

Couldn't put it out because i didn't want to blow it as if it fell my blinds may of burnt and i couldn't close the lid as it was very hot

It died down and burnt like this for around 4 minutes:

Gone out now and i think ill be sending it off for a 'repair'
Just thought id share my lighter/stove story with you- if i knew it would of stayed lit for over 5 mins i would of put a brew on! :p

knowing me i probably did... put around 40 drops in :)

|If you have not used it in a while , just put a little in at a time every day over a week to soak the cotton ,then just fill as normal

Thanks Jason, I dont use the lighter often as i prefer throwaways to see the gas level, but i bought one as i thought it would come in handy some time- i was surprised more than anything when it went up :p
