I've got a lead on a site near to Stevenage that has potential for hosting a small meet.
I want to go to the landowner to see if they'd be willing to take a block booking for a weekend so this is a chance to express interest so I have an idea of possible numbers. I was thinking of either weekend of 17/19 or 24/26 June.
If you're interested please add your name to the list and which date is best for you. If either is good then put either please.

Would love to join you, especially as it is quite local to me, but unfortunatly, I'm not available either of those weekends :( never mind though, If you do manage a subsiquent, I'd be up for it - assuming dates don't clash of course :)

Hmmmm... thought this would have had a bit more interest than it seems...
I would like to say yes but things are just to up in the air at the moment to know what I'll be up to a month from now.
Yes please. Either date is ok for me at the moment and it sounds like its on my doorstep!
Atb, Jon.

I just want to say that I think this is a really good idea and I'm sorry I can't make the dates. There seem to be a lot of meets in the North, Midlands and West Country, but nothing much is the South East, particularly north of London.
Well done to Mesquite for coming up with this and I hope more people sign up.

Thanks for that TL. I'll leave it a few days and as you say hopefully a few more folks will sign up.
If not it'll be just JD, Peter and myself

I've not had a chance at all to sort anything out due to work and the fact that I now have to keep all of June free as it's looking likely the wife will be having an op :( Once we've got a date for her to go in then I'll be able to sort it out.

Hey Mesquite. Hope the wife's doing ok? Any news on a possible trip out? Based in Baldock, so Stevenage is v.close.

That is exactly how it feels for most of us living away from London. Just about everything interesting seems to happen in the "Old Smoke" and we never get a look in.
Nice to see some things happen the other way around... http://www.wayland.me.uk/assets/images/10980.gif

Sorry guys, I simply haven't been able to do anything about this due to work and home problems.
The way my diary is looking I can't see me being able to sort out a meet until end of September, beginning of October now.

But surely you could spare one or two bushy events for us poor, deprived southern dwellers??? :vio:
Not sure about that, let you have one and the next thing we'll know is that we'll all have to drag ourselves south of Watford Gap to get to a meet.

You're a hard man Wayland..
Hope its ok to 'advertise' here, but as a lot of you are in the area, there is a Cambridgeshire meet happening next month. Going from Letchworth, it only takes me about half an hour to get there. The site is only just past Duxford, off the the A505, and has toilet and showers. Please feel free to check out the Cambridgshire thread.

Mesquite - I have not been on the forums for a while - so only just seen this. Sept/Oct sounds good to me it has got to be warmer than the Christmas one we did a while back!!
I'm interested in this it all hinges on work commitments nearer the time though.
Hey, i've been away for ages time to get back into it I'd be up for sept/oct too :)
Ditto, I've been away for a long while too (too long in fact!), so I'd be up for a Sept/Oct meet :)
Dates withstanding for Birthdays etc.

I've. Ot been on the forum for ages so only just seent this thread. I have access to woodland in Stevenage with permission from the landowner to wild camp. Always up for a night out. Only very small groups though.
Pm if interested.
Like you, I've not looked at this thread for a while ScubaPauly. I'm just down in Hertford so a night out in Stevenage sounds great, and it's not often you'll hear me saying that! :-D. I'll check my diary and drop you a PM if you're up for company one night. Cheers for now, Steve.
