Hello, just wondered if there was someway to tell if a user was on a page you were reading or posting on. In other words, if I see a specific persons light on, it does not mean he is on the same page as me, even though I can see his light on.........

It makes it seem more likely that the person whos light I see on (same page) might actually see my post and respond fairly quickly, therefore causing me to standby longer on that page, which might be good for the forums over a period of time :o  .

This seems silly I know, but I might not even post or respond at that specific time, but often do because I see a light on, in "combination" with a persons name on the same page.

the green light just indicates if a person is online or not anywhere on the site.. if you click on their userprofile the profile page will show you what thread/forum that person is viewing and if they arereading/replying to it.. it used to be the case that there was a bar at the bottom of each page which showed which members were viewing that page at that time but i think that dissapeared in the big crash!?

Thank you, that helps a lot, I will check that next time.

When it's 3 a.m. here, and I see there is someone up at BCUK (light on), this sometimes inspires me to post or not to post at that time.

That'll be me then,
Seven years of night shifts have certainly messed with my sleeping/waking rythm. That and turned me a curious shade of light blue (as mentioned by Billy Connelly) from moon bathing for so long
