View Full Version : Lightweight folding Trivet/Lid rest.

Ive made this recently for a member on here.Its for resting a Dutch oven lid on when checking on the food or a place to rest it so you dont get grass or stuff on it.It can also be used with an inverted D/O lid for frying with embers underneath..Its 9in long and about 3 1/2in tall.

I'm looking forward to getting this and the lid lifter that I ordered soon...out with Scouts again next weekend, so they'll get a good testing then:campfire:

Two pieces of rod, bent into U-shapes, an small piece of tube welded on to one of them as a "hinge".

Trivet and Dutch Oven lid lifter arrived safe and sound this morning.

I'm very happy with both, as usual Nige has done a cracking job.

I'll get some pictures of all my Launditch iron in use this weekend:camping::campfire:

I took the trivet and lid lifter to Scout camp this weekend and am happy to say tat both worked perfectly:D
