I saw a poster for a survival school which is in my local area. The web site is www.BackwoodSurvival.co.uk
Has anyone any experiance of this school and if so do you think it is worth attending.
I have to admit, i've never seen this one before.

I know Pat, the instructor. Trained with Mick Tyler, ex-SAS who runs courses out of the Brecon Beacons.
More survival, less buscraft.
Nice guy, knows his stuff.
looks like he only has the one weekend course on offer. perhaps he's just starting up.
according to the blurb on the home page he learnt from sas members and worked as an instructor for the breakaway survival school. the brief course description sounds like it's modeled on the breakaway weekend course.

i also know pat, nice bloke, met him at a breakaway club meet, almost a year ago infact. good with fungi, and has an impressive shelter built out in the woods, complete with wall and fence!!
