View Full Version : Belkin TuneCast Auto IV - for iPhone/iPod
Sold my motor so I have no need for one of these (http://www.macworld.co.uk/ipod-itunes/reviews/index.cfm?reviewid=3271&productid=115856) anymore. Serial no f8z343. Originally cost me £50 but I understand they're a bit cheaper now, around £30,
So I'd like £15 posted and I'll chuck in a car power source splitter (one input to two outputs and a USB) I picked up at halfords so I could use satnav and my iPod together.
Alternatively I'll take a swap for a pair of in-earbuds!
is this any good , i've had fm modulators before and the sound was very low ... not sure about this
It works well once you know what you're doing. The auto tune feature can be a bit pants as it sometimes will pick a frequency 'already taken' by one of the main radio channels which causes interference due to their strong signal. I found that if I manually set the two tunecast channels to two different 'empty' frequencies it meant I had a clear signal almost all the time, and if for some reason I got interference on one I'd change to another. If you do most of your driving in the same area (central belt of Scotland for me) it's easy enough to get it set up well.
does it not work , when you are up north or remote areas , as i'm always away these places ...
No, if anything it works better in those kinds of areas. I've been up and down to Caithness a few times and it's been fine.
I live in Caithness :) This things work fine up here!
