Neil1's thread on finding a HH wool pile jacket got me thinking. Does anyone know if wool frieze or wool pile is made anymore?

I have an old fishtail parka liner for the us army parka Korean war era and it is made out of wool pile/frieze....like a wool towel with the loop stitches on a Norgie shirt and it is warm! But aside from this military liner, I have not seen the like anywhere.
Any thoughts?

Ullfrotte (sp?) base/mid layers are loop knit.

Arktis do a 70% wool variation on the Norgie, I seem to recall.

Otherwise no idea.

Try taking a look at :-

http://www.country-covers.com/

I saw a lot of their kit at the recent country fair at Holkham in Norfolk. Ended up buying one of their arctic shirts - sort of an improved norgie.
Lots of their clothing looks very good, if a bit pricey.
