Is there any chance we can get the For Sale & Sold tags on BCUK that Martyn has on BB.

Of all the changes I've experienced on vBulletin, I think that is one of the best. I suspect it's a a separate add-on but it would be worth it, in my opinion. Makes it so much easier to browse classifieds.

Please? :)

Great idea Stew, it would definitely make life easier

How are they administered on BB, do Admin have to apply the tags or can general users do it ?

At the moment (on here) I just try to write *** NOW SOLD THANKS *** at the top of the page so at least it shows up in the preview

No, it's all adminstered by the poster.

To start a sales thread, you have to put a tag on it. When it's sold you have to remember to go back and edit it but after a short while it's easy to remember to do it.

Your idea is good but not everyone looks at a preview before clicking. I know I don't. :D

Hi
I have just followed Martins instructions on BB see below link on a post I had started on BCUK which allowed me to change title you could put sold at the front of the title
Go to your thread/advert in the portobello road section, on the first post of the thread/advert click on "edit post" click on "go advanced" and you should see the option to change the title

We don't have that prefix option on BcUK yet. Editing the title doesn't work as well.

I can't open that link Chas, must be a member only part of the site.

I've always thought being able to edit a title would be a good thing, mainly to correct typos or add info later on.
