View Full Version : Leather Belt with Special Buckle-Help!

Bizarre request for help-I wasn't dreaming this....
I saw in one of those mens catologues that infest the postbox over Christmas but lord knows which one.
It was a stout leather belt with a buckle based on an old Fire Brigade belt used to hold hoses. It had an ingenious quick release and I wish I'd bought one. It was in a catologue of 'gentlemans leather goods and clothes' like an old English Haberdashers. I've scoured the interweb (name patented to my Dad) with no success.
Anyone??

Sorry, no idea, but if you come across the buckle i can make the belt. :)

Tell us more about the buckle. Was it similar to this one, in the way it works :

Not like that one Innocent Bystander.
It looked exactly like a open faced prong buckle but the bottom arm was hinged. When undone the buckle released the belt.

I'm not sure but I think I may have one or two of the buckles you mean.
