This is a project that's been on the back burner for a while and I finally caught up with it today and finished.
This friction folder is different from all the others I have made, though. It's got a forged blade, rather than stock removal. It came out pretty good, and I am very pleased with the finished article.

The blade is forged from Silver Steel, overall, it's 6" long, although the handle is 3 3/4" long. Although I like the long tang, it is a bit long to fit comfortably inside a pocket. It could easily be carried as a necker though. I also did some file work on the spine and sort of linked it in design to the twisted tang. I made some thick conical washers because I couldn't find any to buy anywhere! The pivot is 4mm brass from the DIY shop.
There are 3, "step by step", posts about the making of it on my blog for anyone interested. It's just too much work to copy it all up for now!
