By chance does anyone go canoeing in south wales area often? I last went up the wye for a day back last year (which cost about £30 to hire for the day........I think). I'd like to come along if anyone has any plans to do it in the near future (otherwise it seems another daytrip up the Wye is in order!)

I'd love to do it again but this time for the weekend. It doesn't necessarily have to be in SW but I'd prefer if it was or at least local too.

I've moved this over to the meet up and social chatter forum to see if anyone else in south wales would be up for a day out on the river sometime :D

hi mate,
I have nearly finished restoring a 16ft indian canoe that was found floating up the Bristol channel (new wood work, paint job, seats etc) I tried it on the canal near me and all seems well. I was planning to do a weekend trip soon possibly on the Wye. Thinking about it a companion would be nice. ( I have a spare life jacket but I will have to sort out another paddle.

If you are interested we can talk about it at M.M on the 3rd
