What Overhead or Zippered smock/Jacket for my wife? (-Must look good!)

My wife is after a light jacket that will keep a bit of rain off, but "doesn't look like a walking coat when I'm at the shops and is a nice colour".

For some reason she doesn't fancy a DPM Goretex.

I've suggested a Paramo Fuera, although it might look a bit too utilitarian for her (It would give me chance to see how effective Paramo kit is though). I'm not sure how water proof they are.

As she wants something that will do everything, Ventile would probably be ideal, but I'm not paying that much!

Any other ideas? No army surplus or camo please.

So reading betwen the lines, I would say she is looking for nothing to do with anything bushcrafters are interested in. Not to look like a walking coat and a nice colour probably means dont bring back any olive green outdoor coats!!!

On the same basis i bought my wife one of these, and she had better bl**dy well like it
