I have the Sheppshult "Fältugn" (i.e. their Lars Fält branded dutch oven), and it comes without the legs. A few rocks fulfills the role of the legs when I need them (seldom).

I bought the GSi ally one a couple of weeks ago and it's doesn't have any legs. I was a bit bothered about it at first but then thought it's not hassle to use a trivet or a couple of rocks.

Why do you want to remove them ?

Not been out in the boondocks with it yet Drew so can't say how it will perform on a fire. I've heard comments that the ally doesn't hold onto the heat as well as the cast ones so there might be some issues in strong winds etc.

Cooked a cracking beef stew in it on Thursday at home though http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd291/Shewie01/Smileys/drool.gif

I've left the feet on mine (never thought about reoming them to be honest), but i have gone over the inside with very fine wet and dry paper to get it as sooth as poss before i seasoned it, now it really is very non stick.

was thinking about removing them as they snag on stuff and when using it on a griddle they never fit in the holes
