While working on one of the nature reserves I manage, I found this bird sitting in the top of a dead Elm tree :eek: ......somewhat surprising as its a Kookaburra, the worlds largest species of kingfisher and only found in Australia :confused: . This one had obviously escaped from a collection. They feed on reptiles, small mammals and insects. Managed to get a picture of it in an Oak tree. It had gone the followig day :(
