Nice one. I could have done with that this afternoon after I realised I'd left my lunch and wallet at home.

Pretty much anything goes, bannock has probably one of the most varied recipes in the UK....
For these I used

3 cups flour
2 cups powdered milk
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon sugar
1 cup lukewarm water

filler (Whatever takes your fancy....)
Mixed whole nuts
Dried fruit cut up to the size of a hazlenut (Peach, apple, banana, raisins etc etc)

Cook on a skillet or in a frying pan with a little oil....
No thicker than an inch or it will be doughy....
Cook slowly to ensure the centre is cooked....

Cheers
Tom

My kids like their bannock with chocolate chips inside. Me too!
