Wild Food Courses?

Hi,

Does anyone know of any good courses (maybe just 1-day one's) that focus on wildfoods (especially plants). I'm in London so south-east would be best.

There's a place called Butser Hill ancient farm that runs occasional courses, and I seem to recall seeing some plant food (herb based) course stuff on there: http://www.butser.org.uk/iafse02_hcc.html

The farm is on the A3, between (qnd just after) Queen Elizabeth Country Park and Waterlooville. I don't know if this qualifies as "wild food", though.

If you take look at the home page of Bushcraft UK, to the left are many bushcraft companies who offer a wide variety of courses including wild food courses.

Check out Paganwolf's reply to my thread @ http://www.bushcraftuk.com/community/showthread.php?t=6355. I've spoken to Marcus, the guy that runs the school and he sounds quite clued up. I plan on enrolling on the long distance learning course because I haven't really got the time to travel at the mo.

RM does his "walk in the woods" which I'm told includes nibbles along the way...lol :D

Ask Earth Mother or Paganwolf amounst others as they've been on it and said they enjoyed it (not together I might add.. :o ).

Failing that you could go to the July Moot, I'm sure Stuart or one of the others can point out enough edible plants to fill your head to bursting :)

I went on a course last May and found it very educational.
On the course we were taught about plants and the best traps for small game.
Our days rations were all completely from the land.
It is run wildlive in Northern Ireland if you are willing to travel
