Plenty of fungi out today, field mushrooms, fairy ring champignons, my first ever puffball (although it was maggot riddled!) and a bunch that I couldnt Identify! Also found some rowan berries, blackberries, and still waiting for the hawthorn berries to mature. Had a brew by the waterside.

Went to our local Puffball spot. None yet! Been in same spot for a couple of years now, but late august so back in a couple of weeks!

Good forage there, nice pics too..

Great pics! Have not been out mushroomin yet :-( I'm hoping its going to be a good year in oxfordshire for mushrooms, as its been a fairly warm and dry summer here. Had some rain tonight so may be a good morning tomorrow for a foray but sadly i am working :(

thanks for the comments gents :) sorry shewie thats eldwick res. A lovely little water I fish it from time to time too, its very low at the minute, saw a couple of cormorants taking advantage of the conditions.

Like I say my first ever puffball so will keep an eye on that site as the summer progresses.

Great photos and a nice haul there! I really need to learn more about the edible fungi in this area.

cheers mate! Im still learning, and think I will be for a long time! Was chuffed with this lot, there seems to be plenty about this time of year.

oh I did ;) lightly fried in garlic, little bit of cream and piled on warm toast yum!
