Fishing kit

Hello guys,

I quite fancy trying a bit of bushcrafty fishing. A pal at work has promised to take me out fishing as I have never been. Can anyone recommend me some basic (and cheap, too, heh) fishing kit so I can have a mess around by myself when I'm out camping?

And if there are any basic guides or videos explaining the basics that you could recommend that'd be great. I've been watching a couple of youtube vids but you know how they go sometimes ;)
