Here's a poll that I think everybody will find interesting,
Do you sharpen your knife such as a Mora or Woodlore at a:

10 degree angle on each side to make a 20deg edge,

15deg angle on each side to make a 30deg edge,

20deg angle on each side to make a 40deg edge,

25deg angle on each side to make a 50deg edge,

I'll let this thread run for a while before I give the proof
Please don't post and proofs or diagrams if you know the answer!
This will be interesting :)
Cheers,

EDIT: I can't seem to find a way to add a poll, can a mod or somebody please help :)

I shall be interested to see what exactly you are going to prove. For me there is no right and wrong about sharpening there are many different right ways depending on the individuals preference, what they cut etc. Oh and of course the knife you start from makes a difference too so for instance I would sharpen a woodlore and mora in completely different ways. See this thread for the explanation of why. http://www.bushcraftuk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29512&highlight=mora

20 deg each side works best for me for a general purpose knife.

Also depends on if you are talking about a primary zero grind or the primary with a secondary or the secondary bevel?
