Growing all round the spring at Moughton Whetstone Hole

Seems to be catching insects like the Sundew

Great plant. Got some at a local wildlife trust site where I am a warden. The name comes from the feel of the leaves, as if melted butter had been poured on them.

In norwegian the plant is called "tettegras". It is said to have been used to make "tettemelk", a thick sour milk with long storage time. This milk is also used in Sweden and Finland (långmjølk og viili ?)
