Yesterday on the moor above Horton in Ribblesdale it was just a quick point and shoot I think the parent was so intent on the "feed me - feed me" performance it hadn't noticed me

it soon did and they were both off in a flash

I'm glad I pressed the shutter twice. Is it a Wheatear ?
I'm sure BCUK will answer so thanks in advance Danny

I'm no bird expert but my immediate reaction on seeing the second shot was "Wheatear".

Which doesn't necessarily make me right...

Yep, I concur with the above findings.

I must confess I'm not much of a Twitcher. I've a book of bird recognition (winged ones) and it amazes me how good you twitchers are at recognition etc.

I am, however, very proud of my ability to mimic the courtship dance of the "Ooyah Ooyah Bird".

Especially when I stub my toe on the bed leg.
