Does any one have a link to a tutorial?
Making a special little knife to celebrate the birth of my Daughter:o. Hoping to have a hand/foot print of hers reduced in size and placed on a silver plaque....then I’ll inlay it into one of the scales (material not sourced yet)
This is a first attempt at fitting scales and it will be to a home made blade (nearly finished that bit) so I could really do with good pointers as to the process of fitting the scales (how many pins to use/what material to use for pins/ where to position them)
Many thanks to you

I used to have one on here but it's disappeared in the blog section. There's more than one on British Blades (http://www.britishblades.com) but found this (http://www.britishblades.com/forums/showthread.php?82035-Low-Tech-Enzo-Tutorial) off the bat.

Nice Photo’s….did you handle all those?

My first foray into this was a Karesuando stick tang that was given to me. I was fairly confident in doing that one as It was just a plain handle (still my fave/most comfortable knife)

This project I’m probably biting off more than I can chew, as I want to include some sections to the scales and inlay
….plus I saw a pretty nice tutorial on file work for the blade ( well I may aswell seeing as I’m making it)…..so pictures may be some time off ;)

Thanks again and yes I will probably need more questions answering

I find stick tangs harder than full tangs, all that fiddling with bolsters and the accurate drilling you need to do....
