Hi everyone
doing this the wrong way round i suppose, already posted a few replies....
Been interested in bushcraft/survival stuff for about 15 years or so but never really did anything about it. Last couple of years have been doing viking living history and that got me camping and doing "traditional" crafts again. So am now an amateur leathercrafter and bowyer. Looking round for new "kit" i sumbled on this place and thought I'd stay awhile if thats Ok. Also looking for a good course if anyone has any recommendations. :)
Hi Paul
Nice to see a familiar face here.
Good to have you Bardster :D What sort of course are you after?

Welcome to the forums Bardster :)
By the way, that leather bottle you made for me is still giving great service. :D
Your leather-work should be really popular here.

Dont know really - I know lots of the theory and can "do" lots of stuff but it would be nice to have a chance to actually prove it to myself. I hope to be coming to the get-together at the end of Ma, so hopefully will get some ideas. In the same way I have lots of kit but dont know if its any good or not. Things like knives especially, I picked up one called Explorer alpine hunter last week that i fell in love with - just felt right in my hand. Its similar in style but smaller than the Becker Knife and Tool BRUTE. I also have an old fixed blade Gerber and my everyday knife is a folding small gerber gator
