Just knocked up these tasty beauties today, oiled with boiled linseed rather than varnished for a change (I have to admit I used pre-cut feathers - my raw turkey feathers are still awaiting the right moment...)

No - I have made some shafts myself from hazel wands but they don't look like this ! They also don't have consistent spine.
These are Port Orford cedar - AFAIK the only way to get hold of it is to buy the shafts ready turned and spined.
I've found it's really fun to make self-bows and arrows but for consistent shooting beyond about 10 metres I need commercially made stuff

These are sweet, nice quiver too. What's the deal with the leather "sock" on the end of the quiver? Looks cool whatever it's for, nice work!

very nice I still have to get around to making my own arrows I have made a few bows so far but I am still using factory made arrows....
