This is an excellent article which tells it more clearly than I have come across in many books. Less voodoo, more science and a practical conclusion - great.

yup ! very clear & simple understanding GD GD .
After reviewing this article, one solution to this problem is water bottles that have built in filters. These work very well at taking out the harmful bacteria mentioned here. It makes it easy and practical. I have used one that works well at filter-outlet.com. Good luck!
