Yes it's okay at 40 degrees, long spin and tumble dry.Make sure it's dry before putting away as they stink when left damp.

You can line dry it,but in South Wales this could take months. As I say as long as it's dry before packing you'll be O.K.

Careful when lifting the bag wet, it can tear the insulation layer internally and cause it to clump inside.

tumble drying will also help get the filling back to being more 'fluffy'!

stick some tennis balls in with it in the dryer. this helps it fluff up as well

I hope you haven't tried it yet?

Unless your washing machine is bolted/locked in etc to its space in the kitchen, it may well bounce around your kitchen once it starts it's spin cycle.

A wet sleeping bag absorbs a lot of water and will thump it's way around the inside like a lump of plasticene as it is spun - just my experience of it.

Might be better to get it dry cleaned.

40 degree wash Nikwax do great products or go to wilko for some cheap soap flakes. and wash at 30 cos its better for the enviroment.Darren

Better still take it to a laundrette, big washers and driers, and you won't get them rattling around!

Dry cleaners is the best option, i find that the bouncing bomb can fit snugly inside the washing machine.
