Hi everyone.

I have just hit my forties, married, work as a draughtsman/designer (specifically designing scientific equipment using 3d CAD). My wife and I enjoy a good ramble both locally and in the nearby lake district. The last six months have been pretty busy and stressful, so I have been 'armchair' bushcrafting, reading the posts on this site, reading books, watching dvd's etc, and I am now looking to head out and start 'doing'. I though the best first step was to finaly join the forum...

Any advice on further steps gratefully accepted :)

Hi there!
Find a meet-up near you and go along. Try to find people near you and get in touch. As well as just go camp in the woods somewhere!

Your going to have fun!
James
