Im looking for somewhere to get an aussie hootchie from as all the places I find are waaaay expensive. Also preferebly somewhere that doesnt use paypal as I dont have it, i.e. not ebay. Does anyone have any reccomendations for sites?

I got one and It's a copy but identically constructed to the issue one and works very well indeed.....and is reasonably priced..

I think most of the online sources in Aussie are wise to the cost and popularity of them in the UK and price accordingly. The NZ army one from the 80's is identical apart from the camo and pops up from time to time as does the older OG Aussie one...

I got mine from kitbag as they were cheaper than over here even with postage on top.

What is the advantage of it over other, cheaper tarps? I always assumed it was just a Ray Mears thing...

They are a quality bit of kit. It also has press studs each side, so you can join two or more together.
