I am looking for a Ventile jacket or Smock to wear as my outer layer, can anybody recommend a good/reliable supplier/maker that won't cost me an arm and a leg.

Steve west wind make a good overhead smock which is well priced.
Bison bushcraft to a jacket type smock which is expensive but very good.
Snowsled are very good
