Southern Fried Chicken and Chips - Dutch Oven Stylee
Having conquered Roast Lamb at several Meets in the past the Naughty Corner decided to branch out at the Outdoors Show Meet held at Rough Close.
Twodogs had brought some Jamaican spice coating and a quick trip to Sainsbury's for the chicken breasts and chips we were off and going:
Twodogs dipping the chicken in Milk

Into a 12 Litre DO with 3 litres of hot vegetable oil - bubble away for 20 - 25 mins:

Thanks, a group effort, the jobs flew by and made more time for us to relax afterwards

That had to be seen to be believed, I never thought I'd witness a meal like that in the woods. You've done some amazing meals with the DO's before, that one will be hard to top though! Great job guys.

hi all just few words of thanks to all the guys at the outdoorshow meet at rough close i was made to feel very welcome and had a really good time i now know what the naughty corner is. i also learnt a lot ie i need a bigger tarp itook pickies i will try to load them onto the site soon

Never mind KFC more like KRC. We ain't got no Colonel but we have got a Sgt Mjr !!! lol.

As someone who grew up in Corbin, Kentucky (where Harlan Sanders opened his first restaurant) I would have to say you guys have your own wonderful "secret recipe"! I think I would like a turn at the Sgt Mjr's chicken! Well done and many great new eats to you!

Any news yet as to where and what went wrong?
I take it that Ronnie Sunshines won't submit the ad for subsequent issues unless the agreed information is included.

Looks great! Reminds me of nights spent on the river fishing and then frying catfish for breakfast. Loved the catfish (still do) but I Wish we had thought of chicken! Great pics too; I can almost smell it from the pics.
