Having ummed and arrrred for a while Twodogs, nolightweight and myself decided for a day and night out - not in the woods though, thought we'd try a field for once:
used this site to find a site that allowed open fires, and found this one:
http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=4580&map=on
With cars loaded, set off in the rain to arrive with a break in the weather allowing us to set up in the dry:

Time to fire up my new Stove:

Then burn in my new kettle - 7 litres

Then a well earned Bacon Butty with fresh made bread:

Another Brew:

Then on with the Dutch Ovens for the Evening Meal:

Roast Lamb:

Roast Potatos:

Carrots and Parsnips:

Then stack and wait:

Finally Chow Down:

Surely that was Nolightweight easing into the ammo. I've been to places like that with my wife and mates, bet you were getting some strange looks when you turned up and got set up. Bet there were some well jealous people when you rolled out the dutch ovens and got er done proper though! Snap looks spot on as per usual fellas... There are a couple decent little sites that allow fires in Shropshire I've found through that website you used.

Prep for the rough close meet?
I'd thought youd all be prepared by now :) and used to it.
Love the set as always, just the right amount of kit and well used :)

I can personally recommend this site (http://www.churchfarmshropshire.co.uk/index.php?id=48). They're really friendly and you can buy firewood by the bag from them as well

He seems to attract it mate.
You could sit him under a Pyramid and it would still pool above his head.
Who got it down the back when he stood up this time?

:lmao::lmao::lmao: You guys do like playing water roulette. Maybe you ought to learn to pitch your tarp so it sheds water rather than collects it

This became quite a gathering as the night progressed, and was a good giggle, I didnt bother with a tent and slept in the back of the 110, which wasnt the warmest of places I have to admit !
Glad you enjoyed it Andy :D, good to see you on this site
all the best
