i'm planning to get myself a new sleepingbag for tropical conditions. one of the local shops sells a snugpack junglepack and another one the merlin(3?). both pack very small and would fit nicely with my ideas. does anybody use one of those and what is your experience, especially regarding long-term-usage? (inside the bag i plan to use a fleeceinlet which increases the temperature rating by 2-3degress)
thanks!

Ive got a snugpak jungle bag(dont use it it tropical area's) i used it for various things,as a liner to my winter bag(when very cold) which is old and has lost abit of it loft, as a blanket in my hammock,i use it in my summer beach camps, i do back it up with a poncho liner just in case its not warm enough but these both pack down less than my winter bag which is big and bulky, ive also used the mossi net zipped up in midge area's, only really suited over here for really warm summer's by itself, but it packs down tiny, can be used as a blanket/or bag,and has a built it mossi net, i like mine.
I also have Snugpak's Junglebag, a black one. I'm using it mostly in the summertime for camping outdoors alone, and during family weekend camping in tents. The bag itself is fantastic, just right as far as warmth is concerned. I had some issues with the compression sack though. It was not sewn correctly and fell apart after 2 or 3 trips. Got it replaced for free though so thumbs up for customer service.

I've got a jungle bag and have used it alot (50 nights or so). I live in the tropics and have found it's warm enough. If I am somewhere a little higher / cooler I just take a pair of thermals to use like pyjamas.
I've never bothered with the mosquito net that's bulit in as I've always been inside a tent with mosquito proof inner or hammock with built in net. I guess that if you used the mosquito net you'd need to find a way to lift it off your face/ skin or it would be useless.
