Just thought i'd show my latest work in progress. I think i'm improving. Not easy when your workshop is also the family kitchen!lol Not finished yet but getting there. My alternate spin on the woodlore clone!

3.5mm O1 toolsteel, as yet un-finished and un-oiled birdseye maple handle scales, grossly oversized steel and brass pins and lanyard tube and red liners.The purists will hate it but i think it looks ok.

The pictures are poor and the knife needs a bit of work and sharpened, but i really like the feel of this one.

Love the shape, finish and wood Dazcon... but the oversized pins and lanyard tube spoil the whole look I feel

I must be a purist too! I think the pins make the handle look to skinny. Otherwise, it's a good job.

Thanks mate. I fully appreciate your view and i know it won't be to everyones tastes, but i'm only making them for myself and i don't want to get into the make-them-all-the-same rut. As i said, the purists will probably frown, but i like it.

I have quite large hands, but i have learned through experience that i prefer a slimmer handle, Just a personal thing.

I have to say, I really like the oversized pins :D....

I wouldn't allow a woody clone in the house, mind you!
