Has anyone made their own mosquito net before?
I don't expect it to be a difficult job, but what I would like to know is whether you have to buy a special kind of netting, or will any netting (of a suitable weft and warp) do? And can you get it from a high street fabric shop.
Cheers,

Is it for midges or mozzies ?

The no-see-um net the stuff to go for if you want to keep out the midges.

These guys sell it by the length ....

A friend of mine made his from his elderly aunts very fine net curtains. He also used the material called "voil" which is similar but smaller holes. he dyed them of course too.

What about trying Harry Corry, Remnant Kings etc., or those kind of places? Once it has a bushcraft/outdoors tag on it the price will go up.

Dunno if this helps, just a thought.

I think it works out cheaper from Point North (http://www.profabrics.co.uk/snap_sub_product_search.php?se arch=true&category=Fabrics%3E%3EMesh%20a nd%20Insect%20Nettings&termsx=Fabrics%3E%3EMesh%20and %20Insect%20Nettings).

For a minute there, I thought the initial post was asking about actually making your own mesh... That would be quite a challenge! ;)
