A couple of years ago the garden fence finally gave in to the winds. Not wanting to waste the posts, i left them to dry in my workshop.....cutting along story short, i turned these boxes from them, this of course has kept the wife very happy as she now has somewhere to store her jewels....oh, not forgetting the much needed browny points for me of course.
Hope you like them,
Lance.

Lovely bit of turning Lance .
Never done any turning before but was recently given a lathe so going to eventually give it a try.

wow - very nice!

I assume the posts were not the tat that I inherited and surround our house the - looks like oak to me but i'm pants at identifying wood....

I'd love to have a lathe - I don't know where I would put it though...

Highly recommend axminsters mini lathes for price and they are very user friendly and excellently price.
They don't take up alot of room ....
