Hi Seved. Looks nice. Quite rustic looking blade - like some Japanese samurai blades....lol.

My Seved Survival is doing great job for me - 6mm thick heavy & wide blade is a plus for outdoor heavy tasks. The 5160 seems capable of holding edges quite long or is it your heat treating techniques I am not sure but - first day I got it - it was scary sharp. After over a month of use - it is still scary sharp. It still doesn't need any sharpening - and this is what I like about this knife.

Spader.

Spader: :D I am REALY REALY glad you enjoying the survival. I totaly agree with you. Its important to have a knife you can rely on. Thats why i am in to knifemaking. To make knives that can help people in the woods and such.
Yes i am always send my knives shaving sharp.
Its a little of both 5160 is a good though steel, but you have have to get it around 58-59 HRC, to serve you well.:D
