not so much as the kit but some thing to put it in.

Does anyone know if you can get a bag/holder like the Gregsons 1 but empty?
Also does anywhere still do Gregsons?

Not knowing what the Gregsons one is like, I can recommend SP services (http://www.999supplies.com/) for all medical supplies. Look under "Belt/Pouches" and they may have what you want.

Cheers,

Martin

You may wish to have a look at a recent thread that covered all aspects of FAK contents and containers: FAK thread (http://www.bushcraftuk.net/community/showthread.php?t=5010)

this (http://www.stjohnsupplies.co.uk/product.asp?productID=U14255&c1=CL&c2=PO&pg=CLPOXX) Looks like it would make a good pouch

If you want something tough and fixed to you maxpedition is the best but costs a lot

Eds,

In answer to your original question...yes I believe you can still get them, try this link:

http://www.adventurekit.co.uk/acatalog/Medical_Kit.html

You need to scroll down a little bit... it's the delux kit you want to go for...5 compartments that all fold into one roughly 5" square pack.

I've had a Gregson pack for years, they are a top bit of kit and I never go away for a weekend or longer without it. I don't think there's much of the original items in it anymore but I re-stock it with the same items when I use them.

You can get an identical one to the Gregsons made by Highlander, that's about half the price. I carry that in my possibles pouch, and http://mountainwarehouse.co.uk/shop/product/products_id/417.html when I'm off for longer.

Are they totally waterproof like the Gregson ones Chris?

The pack isn't but all the contents are in waterproof bags. I'll nick my flatmate's camera and get a pic up in a sec.

I have one of the multi pouches that Andy mentions and surprisingly you can fit a complete st John kit in there:

All neatly laid out and in compartments

Here we are:

It's been very very wet before and stayed quite dry. Has all you need for minor injuries, has served me well. I also pack a roll of insulation tape to save my feet when walking.

That looks like a pretty darn good bit of kit for just over a tenner! Nice one Chris :biggthump

Think I'll go for this one:

http://www.surplusandoutdoors.com/ishop/877/shopscr1529.html

It a smaller than the one I've got at the moment, better for day trip. I'll then get a larger bag from some where for the main bits at home.

I want one with several pockets a hate having to take everythin out to get a what I want.
