Hello thought I show you an old axe that I made a new handle for tonight. The wood is dry straight grain birch and the axe head is Hults Bruk. It was great fun doing using an axe, draw knife, knife and a shaving horse. I reused the metal wedge from the old shaft.

Head still on the old handle.

The metal wedge, "3" on one side and "ENGLAND" on the other.

Head wedged on the new handle.

Fantastic. It looks like you've made a really good job of that.

A bit more inspiration for me (I've got one that I daren't start).

This exact axe I have not used but I find the more curved handles more fun to make, use and look at...
