ok guys, which is best?

i already have an array of ww2 sas smocks in the pull over the head style, desert camo and snow, love them to bits but don't want to let them get knackered out. my question is...
which is better the swedish snow smock, or the snow parka with the buttons up the front? need a cheapo windproof to cover the more expensive stuff.

what are your thoughts?

cheers guys
Rob

All depends whether you want to pull it over your head or not, i have both options.remember these swedish smocks are oversized so i would suggest getting one a size smaller,i did this and can still get just about anything below it.

cheers for that, is there any difference to the cut or are they both totally different in shape. i.e cut under the arms, length of arms etc etc.

I agree with twodogs head over is heavier i have two of both(dyed differant colours, waxed and unwaxed ones) i prefer (slighty)the button up front one though, it feels a looser fit and less restrictive, which i like and i dont use the buttons to get it on and off you'd be there all day i just pull it over my head, great smocks/parka's ive been using them constantly for the last month in this weather.

Where can you get the button up ones at?

Cheers, Michael.

i have just bought the over the head style off ebay, came with some german trousers, 2 left if anyone is quick enough to get them 16.99 delivered.

also if you search for swedish smock you get 2 full button ones come up for a start bid of 10.00, i tried emailing both sellers about them and neither replied but, one of the 2 full button ones is a relist so you might even get it for opening bid if no-ones watching them.

cheers for the replies.
