It's for my Shimano travel rod. The black cordura case that came with the rod flew in the face of the traditional canvas & leather look that has been gathering pace. My wife says I'm starting to look like a mountain man when I'm in the woods :)
I think it looks rather good on the Roamer pack

It's beautifully made by John R James. This is his site http://leatherman.yolasite.com/ I have no connection with him other than being a very satisfied customer.
A really nice look overall and a beautiful piece of leather art.
Which rod goes in the tube?

That be a FINE bit o' leatherwork!....I've got a spyglass that's bin lookin' fer a new home.......Might well place an' order mesel!....
Nice rod btw.....an' packs down real well aye.
Stunning case Sean, looks grand on the pack too fella.
Thats a lovely rod case. Way over the top and probably 10 times the weight of canvas case.....I would have one in a minute!
The case & pack look like they were made for each other, good purchase.

Thanks guys I'm chuffed with it. I'm hoping to take it fluke fishing next weekend so I'll have some more pics and maybe even a fish!
Looks great, how much did it set you back, if you don't mind me asking?

It worked out to be around £60 including shipping which I think is an absolute bargain when you consider what these kind of things normally cost. I did, however, get it from him through a well known auction site and may have just got lucky that nobody else was bidding for one at that time.:)

that is fantastic, especially for that money.

I reckon it would but they'd be short arrows. The case is about 18" long.

Sounds a bargain to me, good find.
That's a lovely piece of work and an amazing price. There are hours of work in that.

You just need a suitable cane rod to go with it now.:)
